A medium strength alloy that has a good corrosion resistance, weldability and a good surface finish allows for easy anodising. Commonly supplied in the T6 condition it has good formability.
A medium strength alloy commonly used in structural applications. Contains the highest strength of the 6000 series. It has great machining capabilities and can be welded.
Medium to high strength alloy that has heat treatable capabilities. It contains good weldability and corrosion resisitance. Mainly used in American market cost implications apply if obtaining throughout Europe so 6082 is often used as alternative.
A strong alloy with zinc as the primary alloying element. It can contain strength comparable to many steels. It contains good fatigue strength and good machinability. It has less corrosion resistance compared to other aluminium alloys. Its relatively high cost limits its use to applications where cheaper alloys are not suitable.
A medium strength alloy . Has good formability, weldability and work hardens rapidly. It has high corrosion resistance particularly in marine atmosphere.
A moderate strength grade of aluminium widely used for sheet work. Contains good corrosion resistance. 99.5% purity and has a high reflective finish.
A high strength alloy with excellent machining capabilities. It has low corrosion resistance and welding is not recommended.
