Sin Cars are one of the newest names in super car manufacture. The company not only build road legel 500BHP + road cars, but also have designed and developed their own GT race car.
Sin Cars and ProFormance Metals teamed up in 2012 with a view to create a fully homologated chassis and rollcage for their R1 flagship model. 6 months of testing with MIRA and the MSA ensured that the rollover protection and safety cell would perform to the highest standards on both Road and Race applications and the homologation was granted.
The Sin R1 GT car is powered by a 500bhp LS7 V8 engine and weighs a little over 1000KG’s. It’s racing debut was made over the last three rounds of the GT cup 2013 and the weekend events were used to obtain data from the car in terms of handling and performance.
With the R1 road version now fully legal and available to order, Sin Cars have been allowed to focus their attention to improve the race car over the winter season and are very positive of the potential the car has shown in testing.
